The Route 13 Project involved the reconstruction of two southbound bridges above Truman Lake, north of Deepwater, that had deteriorated significantly since their formation in 1964.
The new bridges have greatly enhanced the safety and capacity of drivers along this high-traffic section of Route 13 that carries approximately 16,000 vehicles daily. The total length of the project was 3.7 miles. It entailed demolition, site work, paving, and new bridge construction.
